Officers with the Irondequoit police investigated the following incidents between Feb. 7 and Feb. 10:
On Feb. 7, officers investigated a breaking and entering report on Governor Terrace that happened sometime between 5:30 p.m. and 8:40 p.m. Someone gained entry through a locked rear window.
On Feb. 7, officers responded to a reported commercial breaking and entering and burglary on Titus Avenue. Police put together a detail Feb. 8, and a suspect was taken into custody while attempting to commit a second burglary.
On Feb. 7, officer responded to a theft on Portland Avenue. A vehicle was taken from an apartment complex by a known female friend.
On Feb. 7, Officer McCabe stopped a suspicious person on Empire Boulevard and learned through her investigation that the man had a credit card which had been stolen from a vehicle on Shelford Road. The man was charged with possessing stolen property.
On Feb. 7, Officer Laird interviewed a suspect who was arrested in Brighton and charged with committing residential burglaries and cleared several open cases when the suspect admitted to: a vehicle larceny on Thorndyke Road on Nov. 30; a residential burglary on Pontiac Drive on Oct. 28; stealing a vehicle on Somershire Drive on July 23; a residential burglary on Wimbledon Road on Nov. 30; and a vehicle theft on Simpson Road on Jan. 2. The man remains in custody.
On Feb. 8, an officer responded to a breaking and entering report on Kiniry Drive that took place between 7 p.m. Feb. 7 and 1 p.m. Feb. 8, when someone gained entry through an unlocked rear window.
On Thursday, Feb. 9, an officer responded to breaking and entering report on St. Paul Boulevard. Someone broke into a vacant home and stole copper piping.
On Friday, Feb. 10, thefts from unlocked vehicles were reported on Barry Road and two vehicles on Rawlinson Road.
