The Irondequoit Police Department reported the following incidents between Monday, Jan. 24, and Saturday, Jan. 28:
Jan. 24: A resident in the 300 block of PaRoadee Road reported that her home was entered between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m. No suspects at this time. The incident number is CR#12-3603.
Jan. 24: A resident in the 3000 block of Culver Road reported that unknown suspect(s) disconnected the phone line on the exterior of his home. The incident number is CR#12-3603.
Jan. 24: A resident in the 200 block of Belmeade Road reported that an unknown suspect entered his attached garage and stole a Puch mens mountain bike sometime between Jan. 15 and Jan. 24. The incident number is CR#12-3554.
Jan. 25: A resident in the 100 block of Burwell Road reported that unknown suspect(s) attempted to gain entry into her home between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. through her dining room window. No entry was gained and there are no suspects at this time. The incident number is CR#12-3739.
Jan. 25: A resident on Fairlawn Drive reported that an unknown suspect entered his home by breaking a rear window. The victim reported nothing was stolen but the suspect turned on the kitchen faucet causing water damage to the interior of the home. The incident number is CR#12-3719.
Jan. 25: A resident on Rock Beach Road reported receiving a letter from an inmate at Attica State Prison. The letter asked the resident to be her companion and stated that the inmate was being released in eight months. Attica Prison officials confirm this is a scam conducted by inmates in attempts to get victims to send them money and other items. This inmate is not set to be released until 2028. Recipients of such letters are encouraged to call 911. The police department will take appropriate steps to notify prison officials.
