Police release photo of vehicle used in theft from school district

Police have released a surveillance photo of the truck believed to have been used to steal a plow from the West Irondequoit School District earlier this week.

Police say at 6:23 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 29, a white truck pulled into the maintenance facility of the school district, located at 720 Washington Ave., hooked up a red, 9-foot Western Ultra Mount plow and drove away.

The truck appears to be a Chevy/GMC with a missing tailgate, according to the Irondequoit Police Department news release. Anyone with information about this truck or its owner is asked to call 585-336-6000 or 585-336-6013.
