On Saturday, Mayor Thomas Richards partnered with PGA Championship officials to shine the PGA Championship spotlight on the City of Rochester skyline.
The event was designed to get the community excited for what’s going to be the only Major Championship to be played in New York State between now and 2018.
The Greater Rochester region will host the PGA Championship taking place at Oak Hill Country Club, 346 Kilbourn Road, Rochester, Aug. 5-11, 2013.
The PGA Championship is one of golf's four Major Championships and is one of the largest sporting events conducted each year in the United States. Next year will mark the third time the PGA Championship will be contested in the Greater Rochester region.
