Tyler Putnam (West Irondequoit) was selected to compete in the USA Hockey Select Festival that took place in Syracuse this past weekend. Each year, USA Hockey selects the top players from the region and invites them to compete for a spot on the National Team.
This year Tyler competed against 35 other forwards for just six spots. The players moving on to the national camp will be announced at the end of May. Putnam will be a junior in the fall at Irondequoit High School.
