Ontario Honda-Section V has named the following athletes as offensive players of the week for week five.
Class AA Offensive Player of the Week
Chauncey Scissum, Rush Henrietta High School senior, QB, had 169 running yards on eight carries and three TD’s of 46, 66 and 23 yards. He also had seven passing attempts, four completions, 58 yards and one TD. Rush Henrietta 40 – Gates Chili 0.
Class A Offensive Player of the Week
Denzel Knight, Brockport senior, RB, had a total of 383 yards and five TD’s. He had 148 rushing yards and one TD, and 235 receiving yards and three TD’s. He also recovered a fumble in the end zone for a TD. Brockport 33 – Churchville 10.
Class B Offensive Player of the Week
Derek Bishop, Livonia High School senior, RB, carried 24 times for 140 yards and one TD. He caught four passes for 91 yards. Livonia 6 – Attica 0.
Class C Offensive Player of the Week
Tyler Dancause, Marcus Whitman senior, RB, had eight carries for 91 yards, two receptions and 17 receiving yards. He had three touchdowns: a 61 yard rushing, eight yard receiving and a 77 yard kickoff return. He also was 4/4 on kicking extra points and had 185 all purpose yards. Marcus Whitman 36 – Trumansburg 39.
Class D Offensive Player of the Week
Tyler Shutts, York Central School. Shutts was 6 for 15; 237 yards. He passed for three touchdowns in a victory over Letchworth. York 32 – Letchworth 8.
Class DD Offensive Player of the Week
Garrett Northup, Canisteo-Greenwood senior QB, completed five of 16 pass attempts for 108 yards and two TD’s. He also had 14 carries for 107 yards and one TD. Canisteo-Greenwood 36 – Bolivar-Richburg 14.
