Eastridge Lancers marching band holds its annual band camp

If you were anywhere near East Irondequoit Middle School on Densmore Road last week, you might have been hearing some “volcanic” music.
That’s because the Eastridge Lancer Marching Band was rehearsing this year’s competition show during its annual “band camp,” a week-long precursor to the season.
The Lancers’ field band competition show (and music) this year is titled “Vesuvius,” based on the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD and the destruction it caused to the city of Pompeii.
