How can the people in this area be so gullible to think that what they are being told now will be what will happen in the future? When the people in the Seneca Falls and Waterloo area heard what Seneca Meadows was going to be, did they envision such a blight in the beautiful Finger Lakes area? Is the amount of money the owners are bribing them with really worth that disgusting-looking pile of trash?

What are tourists going to remember of their visit to the Finger Lakes? The former rolling drumlins and lake views, or the smelly mountain of imported trash?

Three local fire departments will split $15,000 a year. Big deal. Lower taxes? Where do these dreamy figures come from? Are the few tax dollars we “save” really worth the long-term effects of importing someone else’s trash? Promises of no/low odor are questionable. What are people around other trash piles smelling?

It isn’t a “Land Fill,” it is a “Trash Mountain” that will keep growing as long as a few people that are making lots of money keep dangling that cash carrot in front of those gullible folks. Where is the dirt being trucked from to cover the trash? Ever follow a truck on Route 414?

A removable windmill isn’t acceptable but a very permanent pile of trash is, all for the almighty dollar.
