Monroe County Legislator Ernest Flagler-Mitchell, D- 29th Dist., Rochester, recently received the Chairman’s Award at the New York State Association of Black and Puerto Rican Legislators’ annual conference in Albany.
The award is presented annually to individuals whose leadership has promoted greater community empowerment in the political arena and serves to encourage constituents to continue their drive to break down the political barriers that paralyze community growth and adversely affect quality of life.
Flagler-Mitchell was nominated by Assemblyman David Gantt, D-137th Dist.
