Representatives from health and human services agencies will be on hand to provide information on veterans' benefits, housing, employment, health care, education, public assistance and veterans eligibility.

The Canandaigua VA Medical Center and the Veterans Outreach Center will host their 3rd annual Stand Down event on March 8 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Harro East Theatre and Ballroom at 155 N. Chestnut St. Rochester.
Representatives from numerous health and human services agencies will be on hand to provide information on veterans benefits, housing, employment, health care, education, public assistance and veterans eligibility.
A free breakfast and lunch will be provided by the Blue Star Mothers NY Chapter 8. Free transportation is available by calling 585-753-6040. All Veterans who attend the event will also receive free personal care kits that include toiletries, underwear and socks.
The event is also supported by the Patriot Guard and the Monroe County executive.
Veterans should bring their DD 214 (military discharge papers, if available) to the event.
