A Canandaigua man was injured around 2:44 a.m., Aug. 14, after he was struck by a motor vehicle as it was making a right-hand turn out of Cedar Lodge in Hopewell, said Ontario County sheriff’s deputies.
According to police, Dustin A. Drover, 20, was walking east on Lakeshore Drive when he was struck by the vehicle. He was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital by the Canandaigua Ambulance after complaining of pain on the left side of his chest, and in his back and right shoulder. He was later discharged, said a hospital spokesperson.
The vehicle did not stop after striking Drover, and was last seen traveling east on Route 5, police said.
The car is believed to be a gray or silver sedan with a long brake light, police said.
