Strong Hospital confirms the condition of the Fairport woman injured in a jet ski crash that killed her 3-year-old son, is doing better.
As of Saturday morning, Kerry Pierson is in satisfactory condition. On Thursday she was in guarded condition. Samuel Pierson, her 3-year-old son, had died from his injuries in the hospital late Wednesday night.
Pierson and her son were riding on a jet ski near Thorndale Beach on Canandaigua Lake on Wednesday. They were invited into the dock area to say hello to people they knew. As the jet ski entered the dock area, it accelerated and crashed into the break wall. Pierson and her son were flown by Mercy Flight to Strong Hospital.
The Ontario County Sheriff's department is still investigating the crash.
