A 22-year-old Rochester man is facing charges after a car crash. It happened at the intersection of Genesee St and Frost Ave just after 1 p.m Monday.
Rochester Police said one of the vehicles involved in the crash was driven by Akeem Harris, of Rochester, a suspect in an earlier robbery.
During the robbery, police say the 36-year-old robbery victim fired his handgun at Harris as he drove away. Harris was shot in the lower torso.
Investigators say Harris' car left the parking lot at a high rate of speed -- striking another car who was driving northbound on Genesee St. The victim was otherwise not involved.
Both Harris and the robbery victim left the scene. Police say the robbery victim later returned to the scene with his legally registered handgun.
Harris was later arrested and charged with robbery and grand larceny.
