Bill Destler, president of Rochester Institute of Technology, will give his annual “Address to the RIT Community” at 9 a.m. today in Ingle Auditorium.
Destler will recognize recent accomplishments and outline goals for the 2012–2013 academic year. Topics include enrollment, student satisfaction, facility upgrades and a new “Innovative Learning Institute.”
The university is preparing to welcome an estimated 2,600 freshmen on Wednesday, as well as about 800 transfer students attending in the fall.
Enrollment has reached nearly 18,000 students for the first time in the university’s history.
