Monroe Community College has received a $2-million grant to help improve student success.
The goal of the project is to align developmental course content with college-level courses that appeals to students.
MCC says “Building a Culture of Engagement and Success” creates an experience for students that will eliminate barriers advisement and counseling while giving them redesigned school work.
MCC Provost Michael McDonough said, “MCC is committed to reversing the trend of low college persistence and graduation rates. “This grant will support our efforts to fully engage developmental students as learners through curricular and co-curricular opportunities that set them on a successful path early in their college career.”
The grant was issued by the U.S. Department of Education.
