Assemblyman Mark Johns (R,C-Webster), along with other community leaders, will host a forum from 10 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, Aug. 7 at the Webster Town Hall, 1000 Ridge Road, Webster.
Participants will discuss ways to ensure a thriving small business community in Monroe County by building an "innovation economy" as well as creating and retaining private sector jobs. Keys to a thriving ‘innovation economy’ include investing in education, emphasizing vocational (career) skills training and encouraging entrepreneurship.
Participants invited to the forum include Monroe County Executive Maggie Brooks, Monroe Community College President Anne Kress, Unshackle Upstate Executive Director Brian Sampson and other representatives from local businesses.
