The Irondequoit community has an opportunity to help plan the re-painting of the mural for the silver traffic box at the corner of Cooper Road and Titus Avenue.
Artist Courtney Gruttadauria is re-doing the box on the northeast corner of Cooper and Titus. The box was the first silver box mural and was originally painted by Eastridge High School student Melanie Rogala.
A workshop is being held at 6 p.m. this Wednesday, July 11, at the I-Square Visions Gallery, 693 Titus Ave. Art materials and refreshments will be provided. No artistic experience is necessary. The workshop is open to the community.
The Silver Box Project in Irondequoit is coordinated by the grassroots citizens group Helping Irondequoit Plan for Progress, or HIPP.
