A fire at a Livingston County school was caused by a generator explosion.

According to news partner News10 NBC, the generator exploded on the roof of the Livonia Elementary School. It happened around 11 a.m. today. The school is located on Spring Street in Livonia.

Construction crews have been working on the roof of the school since June 25. A generator on the roof caught fire and exploded while crews were on the roof, said the school's superintendent.

No one was injured.
