Two Irondequoit fire companies, Point Pleasant and Ridge-Culver, responded to a blaze on Rainbow Trail, in the Huntington Hills neighborhood of Irondequoit off Hoffman Road, just before 2 p.m. this past Sunday, Oct. 7.
Steve Derleth, assistant chief of the Point Pleasant Fire Department, said a large pool shed "went up" in flames.
The cause of the fire was "undetermined" as of Sunday, Derleth said, but added that it appears it was "either electrical or accidental."
There were no injuries, and Point Pleasant, with mutual aid from Ridge-Culver, had the blaze under control in about 10 minutes, Derleth said.
The Sea Breeze Fire Department provided a "fill in" crew while Point Pleasant was on the call.
