1
Multiple artists are making their art space in Irondequoit available to the public this Friday for viewing, purchasing and learning through various demonstrations.
2
Among the participating artists, Ed Buscemi, 41 Belmeade Rd, will not only be doing printmaking demonstrations, but also giving visitors the opportunity to make their own monotype works.
3
Also on Belmeade Road, at number 22, artist Sheila (“S.A.M.”) Shrestha, will give demonstrations on “How to Tie One On” — with a scarf, that is. Visitors may also bring their favorite scarves to be tied.
Why you should attend
Irondequoit Art Night is a first-ever event. Participating artists — Maggie Brown, Zanne Brunner, Ed Buscemi, Bill Estes, John Lenhard, Sheila (S.A.M.) Shrestha, Craig Wilson and Lisa Zaccour — represent a variety of media, including acrylics, oils, watercolors, dyes on silks and more.
Prior to the event, samples of their art will be exhibited at various Irondequoit businesses, such as Edward Jones, CNBank, Dan’s Crafts & Things, and the I-Square Visions Gallery, 693 Titus Ave.
There will be mandalas, clay masks, abstract works that combine fanciful characters with written text, and sculptures to see.
Maps are available in various locations throughout Irondequoit, including Irondequoit Town Hall.
