The U.S. Postal Service today will announce that it will cut Saturday mail delivery service starting in August, The Associated Press announced. The move comes as the financially struggling USPS seeks to cut costs.

Package deliveries will still take place on Saturday, according to news reports, and post offices that are currently open on Saturdays will remain open.

The AP reported that the Postal Service has seen a marked decline in letter delivery in the past few years but has seen an uptick in package delivery.
