A new show featuring a dozen landscape artists from the greater Rochester area opened at the I-Square Visions Art gallery, on Titus Avenue in Irondequoit, Oct. 8 and runs through Nov. 1.

The 12 landscape artists whose work is featured in the show are Carol Acquilano, Charlotte Barnard, Liz Britton-Barry, Phylis Bryce Ely, Kate Deane, Kathleen Halley, Karen Maggio, Patrice Maloney, Maureen Outlaw, Robin Salsbury, Dan Scally and Gail Thomas.

One of the artist’s series of paintings was inspired by the trails along the Genesee River “down in the Flats” area of Irondequoit.
Why you should attend
Many of the landscapes have been painted “plein air,” meaning that they were done outdoors. Other works reflect local places, including the Genesee River Gorge, scenes in the Finger Lakes, and beyond.
“This is an excellent show,” said Zanne Brunner, co-director of the gallery.
