The Depression Glass Club of Greater Rochester will host a program on the sparkling clear glass of the Depression Era, which is known as "Crystal Clear".

Guests will learn the difference between lead crystal and other clear glass, and why some "crystal" glass is more clear than others. Members and guests may bring pieces of crystal clear glass of the Depression era to display during the program or to be identified.

The free event will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 6 at the Cunningham House, Rochester Museum and Science Center, 657 East Ave., Rochester. For more information email dgclub@rochester.rr.com or visit dgcrochester.org.
