DECA enhances the preparation for college and careers by providing co-curricular programs that integrate into classroom instruction, applying learning in the context of business, connecting to business and the community and promoting competition.
There are nearly 50 different competitive marketing events for students to participate in and learn about the field of marketing.
Irondequoit students in Mrs. Bucciarelli, Mrs. Lent, Mrs. Burch and Mr. DiCesare’s business classes traveled to MCC to test their knowledge in their chosen event, which includes both team and individual events.
There are only four finalists awarded for team events and six for individual events.
All student finalists are now eligible to compete at the State Career Conference in Rochester March 7 to 9 as a result of their performances.
